Apple Teacher is a free professional learning program designed to support and celebrate educators using Apple products for teaching and learning. This course allows teachers to build skills on an iPad that directly apply to activities with students in their classrooms. Teachers will learn to integrate tools available on the iPad to engage students in the curriculum. Teachers will complete exercises using a variety of Apple programs and earn badges after the completion of each set of tasks. Once

Apple Teacher is a free professional learning program designed to support and celebrate educators using Apple products for teaching and learning. This course allows teachers to build skills on an iPad that directly apply to activities with students in their classrooms. Teachers will learn to integrate tools available on the iPad to engage students in the curriculum. Teachers will complete exercises using a variety of Apple programs and earn badges after the completion of each set of tasks. Once teachers have finished all iPad badges, they will receive a certificate of completion and Apple Teacher recognition. There are three separate certifications available for credit:

1. Apple Teacher Certification for iPad - 3 OPI renewal units In order to receive their Apple Teacher certification for iPad teachers need to complete all six badges in the iPad Foundations journey. These badges are: iPad Pages for iPad Keynote for iPad Numbers for iPad iMovie for iPad GarageBand for iPad

2. Apple Teacher Certification for Mac - 3 OPI renewal units In order to receive their Apple Teacher certification for Mac teachers need to complete all six badges in the Mac Foundations journey. These badges are: Mac Pages for Mac Keynote for Mac Numbers for Mac iMovie for Mac GarageBand for Mac

3. Apple Teacher Certification for Swift Playgrounds - 2 OPI renewal units In order to receive their Apple Teacher certification for Swift Playgrounds teachers need to complete all four badges in the Swift Playgrounds section of the Learning Center. These badges are: Swift Playgrounds App Coding Concepts Swift Code Coding in the Classroom

Teachers may choose to complete one, two or all three of these courses. Teachers will earn OPI renewal units for the course or courses they complete.

Get started by signing into the Apple Education Center using your Apple ID. Navigate to the Learning Center > Foundational Skills > Earn. Choose which course/badges you are working to earn. When you have completed all badges for a course, submit proof of completion using this form (bit.ly/TurnInApple). Find more info and see the list of current Apple Teachers at bit.ly/BPSApple.
