Apple Teacher Portfolio is a free professional learning program designed to support educators using Apple products for teaching and learning. This self-paced course allows teachers to build skills and an understanding of Apple tools on both Mac and iPad devices. Each phase of lesson planning as teachers build their Apple Teacher Portfolio offers a unique opportunity to design more meaningful learning experiences with iPad and Mac. When teachers build an Apple Teacher Portfolio, they’re encouraged to integrate creativity into the lessons they teach every day to help students activate prior knowledge, explore topics more deeply, and apply their learning to the world around them.

Teachers will access the course through the Apple Education Center, and use Apple’s Everyone Can Create guides to plan, teach and reflect on lessons in each of the following modules: Activate, Explore and Apply. Once teachers have finished all lessons and earned a badge for each (9 badges total), they will be able to submit a portfolio of lesson examples and earn Apple Teacher Portfolio recognition.

Get started by signing into the Apple Education Center using your Apple ID. Navigate to the Learning Center > Build Your Apple Teacher Portfolio. When you have completed all badges and received approval back from Apple that you have earned your certification, submit proof of completion using this form (bit.ly/TurnInApple). In this course, teachers will accelerate their Seesaw skills and develop an understanding of resources and tools to support other teachers in their building. To successfully complete the course, teachers must access the content via the Seesaw Learning Hub and complete tasks within each module to demonstrate an understanding of the content.

This presentation will briefly describe additional substances youth are using including marijuana, kava and kratom and emerging trends.
